Pritch kicks Canucks to win

BLUES: Bedford Blues full-back James Pritchard kicked 13 points as Canada were 28-25 winners over the US Eagles in front of 7,521 fans at the Queens University’s Richardson Stadium on Saturday.
The hosts had scored first when Matt Evans touched down with Pritchard converting. Eagles hit back with a try of their own, but Canada furthered their lead as Ciaran Hearn touched down, while the Bedford man once again did the rest.
Another Pritchard penalty was cancelled out by two from the America side, before James Peterson crossed to cut put Eagles 18-17 in front.
The hosts retook the lead in the 34th minute as Pritchard slotted over penalty to make it 20-18 at the break.
Moments after the restart, Pritchard was on the board again, kicking another three points, while Aaron Carpenter’s try gave them some breathing space at 28-18.
A late try from Scott Lavalla was converted Eagles trailed just 28-25, but Canada held on and play Italy in Toronto’s BMO field on Friday.
