Championship play-offs to be abolished

BLUES: The Championship play-off system is set to be overhauled next season with the abolition of the play-off pool stages,

Promotion and relegation groups are set to be scrapped, with the bottom team relegated, while the top four clubs will compete over a two-legged semi-final followed by a two-legged final.

The British & Irish Cup also looks set to be beefed up with teams playing a minimum six games.
