Blues U14s ease past Huntingdon
Bedford Blues U14s won 29-12 at Huntingdon in their East Midlands Cup first round clash at the weekend.
The visitors were quickly on the defensive as Huntingdon grabbed the score but Bedford didn’t panic and built momentum as Sam Lucas touched down, with Ash Pollard’s conversion putting them 7-5 in front.
In the second half, Lewis Smith rumbled over, with Will Bowes adding the extras. Bedford were back on the attack as Smith went over, while Lucas notched his side’s fourth try, with Bowes landing the conversion.
He followed that up with a penalty late on, as Huntingdon’s late converted score was a mere consolation.
