BLUES: Ex-Blues back Paul Allen has been appointed as the new director of rugby at National League Three London & South East club Luton.
Allen, who made a total of 63 appearances, said: “The opportunity to become director of rugby at Luton was a chance I could not resist.
“Having played rugby for Bedford since I was 14, culminating in a full-time contract and having spent my latter playing days at Luton and with my two eldest boys now learning the rugby ropes with the mini section, I know the club really well.
“Rugby is a huge part of my life and following the experience I have gained coaching in National Two with Hertford I am more than ready to take on this role at Luton.
“With the majority of the current squad staying at Luton, some new faces and the excellent staff already at the club we are going to continue making Luton a great place to develop players, to enjoy the trappings of rugby life and over the next couple of years ensure Luton Rugby is stabilised as a National League club.”
