Newton: It was never a penalty

Winger glad to be back in the mix

Referee Jeremy Simpson buckled under the appeals from Grimsby's players and awarded a penalty that turned the game in Grimsby's favour on Saturday.

Winger Adam Newton, making his first start of the season, felt that Shane Blackett should never have been penalised for handball in the first half which led to the Mariners' opener.
