Luton at the races with Palace Moon

Hatters could gain windfall at Goodwood

Luton Town could be in for a handsome cash windfall should the William Knight trained horse Palace Moon win the Bluesq.com Stewards' Cup at Glorious Goodwood on Saturday.

All 68 clubs in the Blue Square Bet Premier, North and South were given a horse for the prestigious race, and Hatters were paired with Palace Moon, currently an 8/1 shot with Blue Square, ridden by former champion jockey Kieren Fallon.

The race takes place on Saturday, live on Channel 4 and Racing UK at 3.40pm.

The club with the winning horse will receive a cheque for 2,000, plus an additional amount determined by a 100 bet on the horse.

Blue Square spokesman Alan Alger said: "This is our way of giving something back to the clubs who supported us through the first three years of sponsoring this great league."

Luton fans can back their horse via the www.bluesq.com/yourclub website where they can earn money for the club by clicking on the Hatters badge when registering.
