Quartet depart Ampthill RFC

Fullback/wing Clements-Hill, 22, has signed for Bedford Blues where he re-joins his former Ampthill team mate Dean Adamson.

Playing for Ampthill in 2013-14 in National Two South, Clements-Hill was the National League’s leading point scorer while his partnership with Adamson saw them share 45 tries between them.

He joined Plymouth Albion in the Championship for the following season where his opportunities were limited due to injury and the team’s struggles.

Clements-Hill then rejoined Ampthill for their National One debut in 2015-16 where he finished the season with 229 points including 15 tries.

Meanwhile, back row Dyer, 23, and fly half Maisey, 23, have both signed for Coventry.

Dyer made his National One debut in 2012/13 for Cambridge before joining Ampthill for the next two seasons where he made 46 appearances, many on the wing.

In 2014/15 he made three appearances for Bedford Blues in the Championship & British & Irish Cup, before returning to Ampthill.

He was an ever present in National One this season as established himself in the back row where his strength and finishing prowess saw him score 12 tries.

Maisey returns to Coventry where he made 21 appearances in National One between 2011 and 2014 before joining Nottingham for the following season, where he played both in the Championship and the British & Irish Cup.

Joining Ampthill for 2015-16, he was an ever present covering every position in the backs.

Finally, Laxton has left the club after an injury-ravaged season. He joined from Nottingham in the summer, but made his only appearance for Ampthill in National One in April off the bench.

“Kiefer was very unlucky to carry an injury throughout the season which limited his opportunities.
