Kempston denied in FA Cup
AFC Kempston Rovers were seconds away from victory in the FA Cup on Saturday: cup and league round-up
Danny Watson put Kempston in front at Norwich United only for Stewart Roach to level in the second half.
Mark Bunker appeared to have set Kempston on their way through this Preliminary Round tie only for Lee Hunter to equalise in the dying seconds. There will be a replay back in Bedfordshire.
Meanwhile in the UCL Division One Wootton BC lost 2-1 at home to Rushden and Higham United.
The visitors went ahead through Marvellous Entiriwaa just before half time and Tyler Merries doubled that lead with 15 minutes to go.
Shaun Barnett replied for Wootton in the 88th minute.
In the SSML Ampthill Town chalked up a 2-1 win over Amersham Town. Pilgrim and Reynolds were on the mark for the home side.
Bedford Town Reserves were 3-2 victors at Harpenden Town, their victory coming via goals from Damon and Nepor and an own goal.
Fisher scored the only goal of the game for Bedford as they won at Welwyn Garden City. Meanwhile Cranfield United lost 1-0 at home to St Albans City Reserves, Petrucci the scorer.
The next action involving local sides comes on Wednesday, September 1 when Ampthill Town visit AFC Dunstable and Bedford head to Woodson Park.
