Keane's Town's top trump

How the Hatters rated

Mark Tyler: 6.5 – Won't enjoy a more comfortable evening as Liverpool's attackers barely crossed the halfway line.

Dan Gleeson: 7.5 – Growing in stature with every game and even found time to pop up with a rare goal.

Freddie Murray: 7 – Powerful run helped set up Crow's strike and kept any Reds forays forward to a minimum.

Shane Blackett: 7.5 – Kept his concentration to make two excellent interventions, particularly with his head in the second half.

George Pilkington: 7.5 – Cool and composed in the centre of defence, didn't let much get past him.

Andy Drury: 7.5 – Drifted in and out of the game, but when on the ball, a very dangerous customer.

Keith Keane: 8.5 – Won possession back at every possible opportunity, and can do no wrong in the eyes of Luton supporters.

Adam Murray: 7.5 – Another who gets better with every passing minute, does the simple things effortlessly.

Jake Howells: 8 – A bag of energy who looks like he could be a real star this season.

Matthew Barnes-Homer: 8 – Looks a different player. On the scoresheet again and his pace will stretch any defence.

Danny Crow: 8 – Such an intelligent player. Always finds a yard of space in the box as he proved with Luton's second goal.

Adam Newton (sub): 6.5 – Showed there is no such thing as a friendly after a poor Reds challenge sent his blood boiling.

Godfrey Poku (sub): 7 – Finding his feet in the centre of midfield and not afraid to get stuck in.

Dan Walker (sub): 6.5 – Got the chance to stretch his legs and gave the Liverpool defence a few problems.

Adam Watkins (sub): 7 – Always busy and looking to be at the hub of things.

Alex Lacey (sub): 7.5 – Only on for a short time, but marvellous run and cross almost led to a fourth.
