Good start for Star Juniors

The best of the weekend's rowing action

Star Rowing Club's juniors have made an impressive start to the new season with wins at each of their first three events.

All J16 and Junior rowers competed in the Wallingford Long Distance Sculls and it was the girls coxless quad – Victoria Huckle, Eleanor Grimley, Emma North and Charlotte Cook – who stole the show with victory in their J16 event.

At the St Neots Small Boats Head, Tom Durrant (S4), Tom Beechinor (J18), Charlotte Cook (J16) and Ruby Ellam (S3 double sculls) all tasted victory in the sculled events, while at the Bedford Small Boats Head, the women's J16 quadruple sculls crew got the better of their Dame Alice Harpur School counterparts.
