From RAGS to riches
Rural Acrobatic club claim their first national awards
Rural Acrobatic Gymnastics Club (RAGS) have their first national champions after a number of their gymnasts attended the British Schools Finals.
In a superb all round display, the club claimed eight medals in a number of age groups.
Ben Hoogstraten (11) and Kate Rolton (10) were the standout performers, clinching gold medals in the mixed pairs event to become national champions.
In the U13 section, Jack Rolton and Jordan Nicholson both won silver medals and Rolton added to his haul with a bronze, along with Emma Nicholls, in the same section.
The group of Lauren Adams, Hazel Moir, Charlotte Furneaux, Steph Bean, Polly Witherick and Emma Nicholls achieved fifth place.
Cameron Furneaux and Josh Rattu brought home bronze medals in the U11 section, while Rosie Davis and Lucy Churchill-Coleman achieved an eight place finish.
The group that consisted of Furneaux, Rattu, Hoogstraten, Kate and Ellie Rolton and Rosie Goodale narrowly missed out on a top three place, finishing fourth in their section.
