Walnut Boys’ unbeaten run finally ended

AFC Kempston’s 32 match unbeaten ChromaSports & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division record came to an end on Saturday as they lost 2-1 at Eynesbury Rovers.

The Walnut Boys had lost at Hall Road in a Knockout Cup visit but they looked set for revenge when Ash Fuller gave them an 80th minute advantage.

However, Ben Hickling hauled Eynesbury level after 87 minutes, while Matt Bannister gave the home side victory with the decisive goal in stoppage time.

Leicester Nirvana went back to the top by a point as they defeated Boston Town 3-0, although Kempston do have a game in hand.

This weekend, Kempston head to Boston Town, while on Wednesday, they entertain fifth-placed Holbeach United
