Midfielder Danny Spiller is facing another trip to the specialist over his troublesome achilles injury, writes Mike Simmonds.

The summer signing finally returned to training recently only to be forced off after just 25 minutes of Town’s 1-0 reserve victory over his former club Gillingham on Tuesday in some discomfort.

Assistant boss Alan Neilson said: “It is a litle bit of a set back and it’s being looked at.

“It’s still the same injury and the next port of call is he’ll be looking to see his specialist and see which road we take from here.

“He’s come back, played the week before, I saw him afterwards and he’s absolutely gutted.

“Sometimes you get a little bit of tightness in the area where you’ve had bad injury, so fingers crossed it’s not as bad as first thought.”
