Spiller faces another injury scare

Midfielder Danny Spiller has an anxious wait to see if he faces another spell on the sidelines with his achilles injury, writes Mike Simmonds.

The summer signing from Gillingham had to come off after just 27 minutes of the development game against his former side on Tuesday and cut a forlorn figure as he left the training ground.

Assistant boss Alan Neilson said: “It is the massive negative from the game. He came off as he was feeling his achilles and will have it assessed by the physios.”
