Rejuvenated Bedford beat league leaders
There may have been 16 places between the two sides in the league table, but Biggleswade knew they would have to be at their best having been taken to the wire by the B’s the previous Tuesday night.
A rejuvenated Bedford side under new manager James Petty started Saturday’s game brightly.

Hide AdThe game plan came to fruition early on when Bedford counter-attacked in the 20th minute and forward Drakulic finished well in a move straight from the training ground.
Bedford could have perhaps added a few more goals if their passing in front of goal had been more clinical but they went into the break pleased with the lead still in tact.
As was expected in the second period, table-toppers Biggleswade threw everything at the B’s in a bid to salvage a point.
But a resilient Bedford dug in defensively to see the game out and preserve a famous victory in what was just the fifth loss all season for Biggleswade.
This Saturday the B’s host eighth-placed Southall at McMullen Park.
