Bedford Town have confirmed they expect to announce a new manager within the next seven days.

The Southern League Division One Central side are without a boss after Craig Adams left the Eyrie last month.

However, an official club statement said: “Since the departure of Craig Adams, the club has received a high number of applicants for the position of Bedford Town manager.
“The new manager is expected to be announced early next week, after all shortlisted candidates have been interviewed this week.”

Meanwhile, Bedford have confirmed two home pre-season matches ahead of the 2015-16 campaign.

They will first entertain Southern League Premier Division side Histon on Saturday, July 18.

The Eagles host Welwyn Garden City, newly promoted to Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division, on Saturday, July 25.

Both games are due to kick off at 3pm.
