The news is another huge boost for Rovers on the back of a superb campaign in which Kempston won promotion to the Southern League Division One Central.

On the decision, Stoyles said: “Myself and Gary Flinn along with Andy Whyte (physio) are pleased to announce we will be leading Rovers into the Southern League next season.

“The squad is staying together and we will add a few experienced local lads that fit our ethics, budget and of course this group.

“Over the last year I can confirm we have rebuffed offers as have a lot of our players from higher, as our desire and belief was to achieve our goals at Kempston around people that we like and trust.

“It has been very rewarding for us to deliver upon all our objectives and targets set out when we joined two and half years ago, i.e. integration of the Youth, Girls and Ladies into the Rovers brand.

“It’s a very strong development side, a well-managed, cohesive environment run in a sustainable and self-efficient manner and a very strong group of players who have delivered the league title on probably the lowest budget to win the UCL Premier for many years.”

On his targets for the new campaign, Stoyles added: “Our aim for the forthcoming season is to be competitive in every game, get to 40 points and then push on from there.”
