Hatters rated v Wolves

Mark Tyler: 8.5 – Pulled off a string of fine saves to keep the Wolves at bay and relieved the pressure when he came for crosses.

Lathaniel Rowe-Turner: 7.5 – Drafted in at centre-half for the cup-tied Simon Ainge and was the perfect foil for Kovacs with his pace.

Greg Taylor: 8 – In out of the cold and impressed with a superb and controlled showing at left-back.

Janos Kovacs: 8 – Commanding performance from the imperious Hungarian who won countless headers.

Alex Lawless: 8.5 – Moment of class won the encounter, but equally important was his dogged, hard-working display.

Jon Shaw: 8 – Won plenty of key flicks and was happy to drop back and help the Hatters defend.

Arnaud Mendy: 8 – Reassuring presence in the middle, winning plenty of headers and second balls and picked his passes well.

JJ O’Donnell: 7.5 – Sprightly youngster was a game competitor and put his body on the line to help see Luton through as he was worryingly stretchered from the field in a neck brace.

Jonathan Smith: 8.5 – Helped the Hatters to dominate the midfield, winning countless tackles as he ran himself into the ground.

Ronnie Henry: 7.5 – Defended solidly, but was unable to get forward as often as he has in recent weeks.

Andre Gray: 8.5 – Pace and power unsettled Wolves from the start and just needs to improve his finishing.

Stuart Fleetwood (sub): 6 – Looked a threat and his fresh legs came at the ideal time for Luton.

Scott Rendell (sub): 6 – Impressed during his brief spell, but mixed composure at times with desperation at others.
