BUSY Luton have placed bids for at least two players as they look to rebuild their squad for a title challenge next term, writes Mark Wood.

It is understood that the Hatters have tabled a bid for Forest Green Rovers midfielder Yan Klukowski, while managing director Gary Sweet confirmed they have made an official approach to sign prolific marksman Jon Shaw following his departure from Gateshead.

Klukowski, 25, has scored 25 times in 84 games for Rovers and netted 18 in 45 last term as he was crowned the club’s golden boot winner and was tied down to a new contract until 2014 just yesterday.
