Hatters on verge of new signing

Luton Town are on the verge of their first signing on transfer deadline day, writes Mike Simmonds.

The club’s official Twitter account tweeted: “We’ll be announcing a new signing this afternoon - once a medical has been carried out.”

Boss Paul Buckle has made no secret of his desire to bring in a central defender and has seen his budget boosted after the club’s FA Cup fifth round tie with Millwallwas picked for live television coverage.
