DEFENDER Curtis Osano’s decision to join League Two AFC Wimbledon is a ‘massive blow’ to the Hatters according to England C starlet Andre Gray, writes Mark Wood.

Osano denied he was ‘jumping ship’ by joining the Wombles on Monday and Gray was disappointed to see him go.

He said: “Curtis is a brilliant player and deserves his move.

“He has been massive for us the last few games.

“Ever since I’ve been there he has been getting better and better. It’s a massive blow.”

Gray had hoped Town would keep most of the squad that had been beaten 2-1 by York City in the Conference play-off final together, only for Dan Gleeson, Danny Crow and Shane Blackett to have been released yesterday.

He added: “Hopefully we have the same sort of team next season, but it’s down to the manager.”
