You can spend An Evening With Joe Calzaghe in Bedford this spring! Joe, whose Sardinian father Enzo was raised in the town, will be the star guest at the event on Saturday, April 6 and tickets are now on sale.

The Times & Citizen is delighted to be the official newspaper supporter of the town’s second boxing dinner organised by Bedford-based Pete Chandher Promotions.

Joe, 40, will be the guest speaker at what promises to be a cracking night of entertainment as he looks back over his incredible career as an undefeated boxing world champion.

He was the longest reigning world champion on the modern era, with a record of 46 bouts, 46 wins and 32 knock outs.

Joe held the WBO super-middleweight title for over ten years until he relinquished the title to concentrate on fighting at light-heavyweight.

In 2007 Calzaghe also became BBC Sports Personality of the Year.

Tickets for the event at Bedford Corn Exchange are sure to be in big demand.

Priced at £65, they include a personal VIP meet and greet with Joe, a photo of you and your party with the champion, three course dinner, reruns of big fights on the big screens, as well as Joe’s speech and

the chance for questions.

Tickets are on sale now at http://petechandharpromotions.com
