Beds Road Clubs

Round eight of British Cycling’s Central Cyclo-Cross League took place at Sonning Common, near Reading on Sunday.

Rosie Dunbar and Jan Laming represented Beds Road Club in the U10 and Youth categories on a deceptively difficult circuit.

In the main race Isaac Anstee led the BRCC riders home, placing second Junior, while Geoff Cooper was last off the line and fought through to finish ahead of Steve James followed by Mark Anstee.

Elsewhere, on mountain bikes, it was round two of the Thetford Winter Series and Nik Pavlovic completed five laps in a time of 2.28hrs to finish eight in the two-hour Veterans race.
