In the County League Premier on Sunday Ross Bailey defended seven from the final over against leaders Southill Park, holding a return catch off Phil Johnson from the penultimate ball.

Joe Bygraves stood out with 4-25, while Dom Moxon’s unbeaten 63 had dragged the Otters up to 190-8.

Flitwick II completed the double at Bedford in Division Three. Phil Gurney’s 50 allowed the visitors to set 191-7. Bedford were rolled for 101, Sam Pitkin cleaning up with 6-24.

In Division Six Flitwick III exacted revenge for last week’s defeat by Stevenage II, passing 165 with four wickets to spare.

Nadeera Nawela’s first century for Flitwick could not prevent Hoddesdon claiming a 42-run victory in the Saracens Herts League Championship. Khizer Manzoor (2-36) made two early breakthroughs, but 120 between Sam Davis and Rob Jones allowed Hoddesdon to set 249-5. Nawela responded with 106 from 110 balls, but found only fitful support.

Flitwick II clinched a nailbiter at Southgate Adelaide. Michael Bodo marshalled the chase of 260 with a fine 93, before last pair Pitkin and Matt Pateman knocked off the remaining 19. Pitkin was tidy with 2-25.

There was a 198-run win for Flitwick III at Sandridge II. Their 282-7 featured 55 each for Josh Malkani and Matt Gurney. Ian Moxon-Booth then blew away the top order with 3-4.
