Otters fail to beat rain

SARACENS HERTS LEAGUE: With The Vale partially waterlogged, Flitwick’s home First Division game with St Albans was called off but Flitwick IIs travelled to Shenley Village where they bowled their hosts out for 106 in 40.2 overs (Matthew Pateman 4-22) before being skittled out for just 76.

Ampthill Town’s Saturday trip to Totteridge Millhillians was cancelled but the seconds (194) lost by three wickets when they hosted North Mymms (196-7, Dean Crawford 104).

In the Third Division, Eversholt hosted Totteridge Millhillians IIs and, having been put in to bat after losing the toss, they reached 185-9 off 50 overs (Jack Fuller 42, Ben Nichols 41).

In reply the visitors’ Andrew Macmillan took 4-37 off 12 overs as Totteridge fell for 133 in 39.5, Simon Avis also taking 3-21 off 13 while Fuller claimed 2-15 off five.
