Cricket coaching opportunities
Bedfordshire Cricket Limited is offering a range of cricket coaching courses commencing in January 2013, which aim to introduce and develop coaches from assisting and supporting clubs through to leading and designing coaching sessions.
The normal entry level is UKCC1, which is aimed at parents and those with limited cricket experience. In some circumstances entry level can be UKCC2, which is designed for those with either existing coaching experience or good cricket knowledge and skills.
Coach Development Workshops are also available which are open to any coach who wants to expand their knowledge within specific areas.
Brad Matthews, Bedfordshire Cricket’s workforce development officer said: “We are committed to delivering high-quality UKCC endorsed qualifications for coaching cricket. This involves working with all elements of the cricket coaching community as well as other ‘fast-track’ sports such as rugby union, swimming, athletics, triathlon and rowing to ensure that cricket provides appropriately trained and skilled coaches to support players at each stage of their development.”
