Competitive total not enough for Eversholt

Consistent Kings Langley scored a five-wicket win over Eversholt in Saracens Hertfordshire League Division Three on Saturday.

Batting first Eversholt made a competitive 206-8.

Decent contributions came from most of their batsmen with S Litchfield top scoring with 57.

He was backed up by A Litchfield (54), B Nichols (40) and J Fuller (32).

A Griffiths and M Roberts both picked up braces of wickets for Kings Langley and there was one each for R Whitlock and C James.

Kings Langley though proved to good as they claimed victory at 209-5.

T Sambrook (55no) and A Griffiths (53no) saw them home but there were other fine contributions from B Griffiths (36), K Rolfe (36) and M Roberts (27).

A Macmillan claimed 2-19 in just under three overs, while J McDuell took 2-53.

S Avis was also on target taking an economical 1-11 off 11 overs.
