Brodie deal is not decisive

Forward is a striking addition for Crawley

The transfer deadline day signing of Richard Brodie for a Conference record of 275,000 has elevated Crawley Town to major promotion rivals according to Town boss Richard Money.

Brodie, who scored over 50 goals in three seasons for York City, agreed to the move south at the eleventh hour on Tuesday. The 23-year-old becomes Crawley's 16th signing and takes their spending to 565,000, something the Hatters could only dream of.
