Alistair Brown, director of rowing at BMS, said: “I was delighted by the BMS results at the Bedford Small Boats Head on Sunday. We had over 100 students competing and enjoying their day.
“The support on the bank was second to none with many parents watching their children race for the first time ever as part of the Project Rapid squad.
“The highlight of the day for me was the J14 boys winning in the coxed quad, it was a nice surprise as we fielded five matched boats not expecting much other than to gain experience seeing as they have only been rowing for three weeks.”
