Bedford CC are too strong for Steppingley

Bedford earned a much-needed three wicket win over Steppingley on Saturday.

After restricting their opponents to 180-8, with Stephen O’Fee claiming four scalps, Dave Myers (67) and Gus Miller (44) put on over 100 to lead their side home.

The IIs travelled to Biggleswade in Division Three but lost by four wickets.

no senior action on Sunday, it was up to the juniors to create the sparks and the U12 County side did just that with a majestic 54-run victory over Harrold at The Bury.

Rohan Mehmi made an unbeaten 33 in a total of 132-4, with Jake Brown adding an assured 26. In response, Harrold were never up with the rate as Charlie King (3-5) and Sam Richardson (3-6) did the majority of the damage.

The U10 Panthers beat Langford at The Bury, but the Leaopards lost to Biggleswade.
