Beauchamp are flag bearers

Beauchamp Middle School will be the official flag-bearers at the Junior World Championships in Sweden at the weekend.

The School, who are taking a 12-player squad to the tournament will lead their country out in front of 17,000 people.

Director of specialism Sonny Thompson said: “It is an honour to represent your country at any level and to be going to such a huge event will be inspirational for the boys.

“It’s been a very busy time in the run up to the trip. Having a visit from the Great Britain Captain and then the BBC filming the squad was fun.

“I am hoping that this is only the beginning for these players and that I will be able to watch them in the future Olympics.”
