Clapham AC

Clapham AC’s third meeting of their 10-match series was held at Parsons Barn.

Partners were drawn to fish on both lakes with the winning combined weight of 86lb 8oz coming from Graham Coles and Jacky Owen, while second were Julian Merrill and Ricky Millward with 85lb 2oz and third were Warren Owen and Dan Kelly with 52lb 4oz.

The fourth match was fished at Greensands with good weights showing despite the strong wind.

The top three mixed league pairs were Paul Kyle and Neville Wildman (85lb 12oz), Dan Kelly and Ricky Millward (66lb 13oz), along with Jason Ruff and Darren Golder (64lb 7oz).

Top five individual weights came from Ruff (51lb 3oz), Kelly (50lb 2oz), Wildman (47lb 8oz), Kyle (38lb 4oz) and Owen with 34lb 13oz.

How End Fisheries

Kingfisher AC visited Dani’s Lake on Sunday and despite a heavy wind the fish seemed to be feeding well.

Most fish came to corn and caster.

Results: 1, Phil Stone, 41lb 11oz; 2, Simon Drozdiol 26lb 6oz; 3, Verne Betts 18lb 2oz; 4, Ian Jones 16lb 8oz; 5, Stewart Bell 15lb 9oz.

Queens Works AC

Queens Works AC fished their fourth Friday Evening League match on Damsel Lake at Manor Farm.

In very windy conditions Kevyn Thornley blew away the opposition with a convincing win from peg three.

He pole-fished paste and caught four big carp, plus two bream and a tench for 35lb 4oz 8dr.

In-form angler Steve Cooper was runner-up with two bream and some roach for 12lb 5oz 8dr on peg 25 and Steve Dunham was third with 11lb 2oz of quality roach on peg 27.

Section winners were Fabio Crusco with 9lb 15oz 8dr and Roy Glitz with 4lb 10oz.

With two matches remaining, Dunham tops the table with 90 points, just ahead of Cooper and Thornley who both have 85 points.
