Abbott just misses out on victory in The Turners Knebworth Classic

John O'Gaunt Golf Club's Philip Abbott just missed out on victory and the 2,000 top prize at the Turners Knebworth Classic, the fourth PGA East Region order of merit event of the year.
Jason Levermore of Clacton triumphed with his 10 under par finish after sharing the course record of 64 with Abbott in the first round.
On the second day Levermore had a tremendous tussle with Abbott with little to choose between the two.
Abbott finished on a nine under 133 to finish in joint second with Chelmsford's Andrew Pestell.
Bedford D Poulter recorded rounds of 73 and 68 for a one under par 141.
