Woman’s phone is snatched by new year brawler as she tried to take pictures of the offender

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman had her phone stolen after she tried to take pictures of a fight in a Kempston social club.

The victim had been celebrating New Year’s Eve when she saw the fight break out in The Daleys Club, in Bedford Road, between 2.30am and 3.30am on New Year’s

Day.

She began taking pictures of one of those involved but he snatched her white Samsung mobile phone.

The offender is white, aged in his 30s, about 5ft 5in tall and of muscular build.

Det Con Surinder Ram, investigating, said: “I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident, or knows what happened to the phone, to call police.”
