Witness appeal following sex assault in Bedford

Police are appealing for witnesses after a sexual assault which occurred in Bedford on Thursday , August 6.

The incident happened when a woman was walking along Nutwood Close with two children at approximately 6.30pm and was approached by a man who touched her inappropriately.

The man is described as black, approximately 5ft 7in, in his 20s, with black fuzzy hair. He was believed to be wearing a navy T-shirt with burgundy and beige stripes, grey trousers, and socks but no shoes.

Detective Constable Tammy Scrivens said: “This was a disturbing and unwarranted incident and we’re urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch with us to find those responsible.”
