Some of the greatest musical theatre voices of our generation have generously come together to support the Chairman of Central Bedfordshire Council in raising funds for cancer through a fantastic night of West End entertainment.
Chairman of the council Counillor Caroline Maudlin has teamed up with Louise Dearman, Woman - The Band, and friends for the production Wow, Here Comes The Girls at The Grove Theatre April 27.
The show will be presented by local celebrity Samantha Womack, of EastEnders Fame.
The talented line up of leading ladies of the West End and Broadway will include: Louise Dearman (star of Wicked and Evita), Faye Tozer (from Steps and Singing In The Rain), Wiilemijn Verkaik (of Wicked and Mamma Mia), Sandra Marvin (from Hairspray and Chicago) and Sophia Ragavelas (of Cats and Les Miserables).
Show stopping performances from these ladies will also feature Woman - The Band and be supported by The East Beds Youth Choir. All proceeds will go to Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Mrs Maudlin said: “We are seriously excited that such talent will be brought together at our local theatre.
“Best of all, the proceeds from this glittering night will be used to raise funds and awareness for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, an amazing charity which is working to save lives through improving early diagnosis, developing new treatments and preventing all types of breast cancer”.
