Warm-up gig for Amprocks festival

Ampthill will be showcasing a preview gig this weekend for the popular Amprocks Festival to be held in July.

The warm-up event will see three acts take to the stage at the recently re-furbished Parkside Hall in Woburn Street, Ampthill, on Saturday, April 19 from 7pm.

The Folks, Caught Stealing and Narrow Plains will all perform - with organisers stressing tickets are strictly limited for the gig.

Amprocks chairman Ian Scarr said: “Amprocks 2014 starts here!

“This is an intimate warm-up gig so tickets are at a premium – these three great acts will offer a wonderful taste of what we know will be Ampthill Festival’s biggest and best year yet.”

All proceeds go towards the Ampthill Festival.

There will also be the chance to win tickets for Amprocks, which starts the three-day Ampthill Festival on Friday, July 4.

Last year’s Amprocks – which saw chart acts Toploader and The Hoosiers perform – broke all festival records with more than 3,000 fans packing out Ampthill Park.

Tickets for this weekend’s gig are from £4, plus booking fee, available by visiting www.ampthillfestival.co.uk
