A village pub is celebrating its 10 year anniversary with a month of birthday celebrations to thank customers for their support.

The Black Horse in Woburn is offering birthday cake and bubbly along with some celebratory surprises for guests.

Staff will also be asking punters to recall some of the great moments they have had at their local, which is part of the Peach pub company.

Manager Ben Paul said: “We’ve had ten wonderful years here in Woburn and have loved every minute.

“We’re really proud to be in Woburn and to be a local for the village and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. We couldn’t have done it without them.

“It’s an achievement to stay the course, and we’re proud to have done that too. We’ve made some fantastic friends on the way and had do many good times.”

As well as joining in with the celebrations, regulars who have special memories of the pub can have them recorded for posterity on The Black Horse’s memory wall.

Anyone with a photo or a special story to tell can post them on the pub’s Facebook page - www.facebook.com/horsewoburn - or tweet it to @HorseWoburn. The best ones will be picked to feature on the pub’s wall.

Ben added: “Naturally we thought it was fitting that our tenth birthday should celebrate all of those good times, by asking people to share their memories of them with us, and we’ll be doing just that whilst raising a few glasses of course.”
