VIDEO: Buzzing about vibration training off the beaten track in Ampthill

Reporter Hayley O'Keeffe trys out some of the state fitness equipment

Getting the fitness buzz is never that easy, and with summer coming up the race to get in shape has begun.

Ampthill is the only place in Europe where you can use the new state-of-the-art Vibra Train machines from New Zealand, which allow you to shake away those love handles.

Phillipa Church, owner of Resonance Vibration Training in Dunstable Street, said: "We are very excited to be the first people in Europe to have the Vibra Train machines.

"The results have been brilliant, have we have seen some people lose four or five inches in a month."

The Vibra Train machines, which the company say are the best in the world, work by producing a strong vibration which contracts the muscles 2,500 times per minute.

Just 20 minutes of exercise on the vibrating platforms can replicate a full gym work-out.

They can also help with aches and pains, loss of vitality and cellulite.

Anyone can use the machines and people have reported decreased rheumatic pain after a 20-minute session.

Resonance recommend eight separate exercises during a session, each working different muscle groups. Each session costs 5.
