Two killed in caravan blaze at Roxton marina

Two people have been killed in a caravan fire at Kelpie Marina Boatyard in Roxton in the early hours of this morning.

Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the fire at the boatyard, on the Great North Road, at 1am this morning (Friday 18 December).

On-call Firefighters from Sandy, Potton and Biggleswade community fire stations were sent to the incident. When Firefighters arrived on the scene seven minutes later they found a caravan well on fire. They fought the fire using two fire hoses, taking care of two LPG cylinders located at the scene.

The cause of the fire is being jointly investigated by BFRS and the Police.
