Two Bedford women have had their hair shaved for charity after one of their family was diagnosed this year with an aggressive form of cancer.

Beverley Rode and Lauren McBride decided to brave the shave and so far have raised more than £460 in a number of fundraisers, with funds being split between the Salvetes Care Home in Bedford, for a seaside trip, and Macmillan Cancer Support. Lauren’s father has been receiving treatment for an agressive form of Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
