A Bedford traffic cop leapt 13,000ft from an aeroplane to raise money for a charity which supports people affected by road accidents.

Carl Klien made a tandem skydive in aid of the Road Victims Trust, raising £850.

Having enjoyed every minute of it, Carl said: “This is something everyone should do, even if it’s only once, it was totally amazing and I want to do it all over again.”

The Kempston-based Road Victims Trust offers a range of free support services to residents of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire who have been affected by fatal road collisions.

Carl would like to see his fundraising total reach £1,000, which is what it costs the charity to support a family or person for a year.
