Staff and children at Kiddi Caru’s Bedford day nursery celebrated World Book Day last Thursday.
Children and the nursery teams dressed up as characters from their favourite story books. They also enjoyed sharing lots of stories, discussing the pictures and then drawing, painting and making characters from the books.
Nursery manager Hannah Buckley said: “It’s so important to encourage children’s interest in reading and storytelling at an early age.
“It really does help the children to develop their skills and often encourages a lifelong interest in and enjoyment of reading.
“World Book Day is a great excuse to celebrate all of our favourite books and for the children and staff to have some fun dressing up.”
