Plans for a new windfarm are set to be revealed at a series of public exhibitions next week.

Recycling and renewable energy business FCC Environment is developing plans to build up to eight wind turbines at its former landfill site in Brogborough, off the A421.

Members of the public have been invited to the public exhibition that are taking place in the surrounding areas between Thursday and Saturday.

Stuart Markham, Project Development Manager at FCC Environment said: “FCC Environment is committed to an open and effective dialogue with the local community regarding the proposals for a wind energy project at our Brogborough site.

“We appreciate that people may have concerns about the proposals and would like to invite members of the public to attend one of our public exhibitions which will provide the opportunity to view the detail of our plans and speak directly to a member of the FCC team.”

The firm is currently in the process of consulting with local groups and residents, and is looking for feedback before it submits a planning application to Central Beds Council.

The exhibitions are taking place on Thursday, (January 24) at Lidlington Village Hall between 2pm and 8pm, and the following day on Friday at Marston Moretaine Village Hall between 2pm and 8pm

A final one is taking place the next day Saturday at Holywell School in Cranfield on Saturday between 10am and 4pm.

All are welcome to attend.
