Santa spreads some family cheer
Santa took time off from his busy schedule to spread some festive cheer and hand out Christmas gifts to these delighted youngsters.
The children and their families were enjoying a Christmas party organised by the Family Groups charity, which is based at the Raleigh Centre off Ampthill Road, Bedford.
Since it was founded in 1982, Family Groups has specialised in working with women and children from multi-cultural backgrounds who live in Bedford, with the aim of supporting those who suffer disadvantages such as language barriers, poverty and isolation.
Derry Dynes, chief officer, said: "Our community celebration was for women and children who attend our groups. Each child received a gift from Father Christmas with many of the presents donated by local businesses, Pacific Direct, Early Learning Centre, Christmas Land and QD."
The celebration was attended by representatives from Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue, Bedfordshire Police and street rangers.
