Quireboys rock out Ridgeway
Rock legends play to pupils
Youngsters took a break from their usual lessons to be entertained by local rock band The Quireboys.
Children at Ridgeway School spent the afternoon listening to music from the band.
Assistant headteacher Helen Roy said: "We have somebody who comes in to teach the children music lessons and he knew the band so he asked them to come in.
"They played a few of their songs for the whole school.
"The children responded really well I think they really enjoyed themselves. It was a great chance for them to hear some live music, it went really well.
"And they gave out one of their CDs at the end."
The Quireboys is made up of Spike, Guy Griffin, Paul Guerin, Keith Weir, Phil Martin and Damon Williams.
