Fossil fun at Bedford Museum

Budding geologists get their rocks off

Eye spy some fossil fun taking place at Bedford Museum at the weekend.

Perdita Molian, aged 10, was one of many youngsters to take part in the free fossil family day run at the Castle Lane museum on Saturday, January 30.

Budding geologists of all ages could bring their rocks, fossils and minerals, including unidentified specimens along to the site and ask an expert from the Bedfordshire & Luton Geology Group about its origin.

The next free fun day takes place on Saturday, April 17 and has a Victorian theme, where the whole family can get involved and explore the world of a 1800s domestic servant and learn some of the craft skills their ancestors would have used.
