Fire service team up with charity
Dual event in aid of Friends of Bedford Hospital and Beds and Luton Fire and Rescue Service
Charity fundraising is heating up as Beds Fire Service teamed up with Bedford Hospital last week for a dual event.
Proving two charities are better than one Friends of Bedford Hospital teamed up with Beds and Luton Fire and Rescue Service to hold a fundraising race night at The Park Inn in Bedford.
Around 3,700 was collected during the evening, which saw guests put their horse racing skills to the test and bid in a charity auction.
The money raised will go to The Fire Fighters Charity, to help those injured in the line of duty, and Friends of Bedford Hospital, for specialist hospital equipment.
Plans for the next fundraising event, a Masquerade Ball, to be held at Woburn Sculpture Gallery, on February 27 are now already hotting up.
