Doubling donations

An online donations firm has offered to double the amount of money given to local charities, and all you have to do is donate a tenner.

Localgiving.com will match the first £500,000 of donations made via its website, so that anyone giving £10 will result in a £20 donation - or £22.50 if you claim Gift Aid.

Bereavement charity Cruse Bedfordshire is one of those taking part.
