Boys Brigade work at Ridgeway School

Labours mark the 125th anniversary of the organisation

A two-hour treat was supplied by members of the 1st Kempston Boys' Brigade at Ridgeway School in Kempston.

Members of the group each did 125 minutes of work at the special needs school in Hill Rise, to mark the brigade's national 125th anniversary.

Boys aged from five and 18 did good deeds from painting benches, to weeding and gardening, to painting a large beach mural on the side of one of their grey temporary teaching huts.

Spokesman Sean Jacques said: "At the end of the day everyone stepped back and admired what they had put all their effort into and hoped that the school would like it."
